Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs
Phase 2 Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program
Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation can help people who suffer physically or emotionally from chronic lung disease. Pulmonary Rehabilitation helps the participant to:
- Reduce the symptoms of chronic lung disease.
- Learn breathing techniques to breathe more efficiently.
- Take medicine and breathing treatments correctly.
- Increase strength and endurance.
- Reduce anxiety and depression.
- Reduce hospitalizations.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation participants are scheduled two times per week for up to 24 sessions.
- Medicare and most insurance plans pay for Phase 2 Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Insurance benefits may be predetermined before participants are enrolled.
- A physician referral is required.
Phase 3 Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a supervised maintenance exercise program available to patients who have completed Phase 2.
